Dumtse Lhakhang, constructed in 1433 by Thangton Gyalpo, the renowned iron bridge builder, is another attraction. Legend has it that it was built to subdue a demoness and is securely chained to the ground. Its three floors symbolize hell, earth, and heaven. Access to Dumtse Lhakhang requires a special permit.
